A Little Bit About Koala Dental
We opened our doors to the South Gippsland and Bass Coast Community in December 2021 and are a progressive and supportive workplace with strong community ties. Our goal is to work with patients and the local community in order to improve the perception and understanding of the value of oral health.
We offer high quality and accessible dental services at fair prices, delivered with empathy and care. At Koala Dental, every patient is treated like family, with a focus on education and prevention.
We care for our environment and know there's a lot of waste generated in healthcare, but sometimes we can't avoid it - if we need it to keep you safe, we choose eco-friendly, compostable, biodegradable or recyclable materials. A small price to pay for a sustainable footprint.
Need an illustrated guide for young children and anxious patients that will help prepare you for your first visit... Or a handy list of what to expect at your checkup with the Koala Dental Team? We've got you covered.
Sometimes we can forget how much information we give you - we've linked all of our take home instructions for anyone who might have missed something or forgotten to ask a question before they left.

If you can't find what you're after, feel free to contact our friendly team and we'll do our best to talk you through it.
Not just a check up and clean, during your visit we will take the time to get to know you, your dental history and, of course, your teeth. Together we will develop an oral health treatment plan that suits you and your expectations.
With no time pressure, we want you to ask all your questions so that you can leave feeling informed and ready to look after your own squeaky clean smile.
Once a tooth is broken, decayed or lost, smiling and eating can become a bit more difficult. At Koala Dental we love nothing more than fixing damaged teeth to restore the health, function and comfort of your smile.
Dedicated to professional, high quality work, we will work together to choose the most appropriate material for your particular tooth. Whether it's a highly aesthetic, tooth-coloured filling or a long-lasting, Australian-made lab crown, we'll work within your budget to deliver the best possible outcome... and get you smiling again!
Have a toothache but the tooth looks ok?
Sometimes the nerve inside the tooth can become infected from trauma, decay or just plain bad luck!
Root canals are like CPR for a dying tooth - they're a great option for an otherwise sound, or reasonably solid, tooth.
Most people function just fine with their teeth the way they naturally are - if you can eat, talk and confidentally smile then Invisalign probably isn't for you. But if any of those words grabbed your attention, or you have any other concerns about your bite, then you might benefit from a consultation from Dr Simone Lansell, our resident invisalign whizz.
Need to replace a missing tooth but want something that stays put 24/7? Our team will work together to restore your smile and bite with high quality German-made fixtures and Australian lab-designed fittings, for the most reliable long-term outcomes.
There are many reasons why implants and bridges aren't an option when it comes to tooth replacement. Cost, space, bony anatomy and medical contra-indications are just a few examples. A convenient, flexible and surgery-free approach for tooth replacement is a removable plate. Another great option for restoring your smile and function!
