General Dentistry
What you need for your first visit to Koala Dental:
- A list of all medications you are taking and and medical conditions you're aware of (consider asking your GP for a medical history)
- A list of your known allergies and any known adverse drug reactions or intolerances.
- Your Health Insurance card (if you have dental cover)
- Your Medicare card (if you are bringing children aged 2-17 who are eligible for the CDBS)
- If you're bringing in a little one, help prepare them for their first visit by downloading our story book.
Emergency Dental
Sometimes Toothaches can come on suddenly and the pain can make you miserable.
When pain or sensitivity arises, please contact us as soon as you can.
Having these details ready will also help us manage your treatment:
- Any medications you are taking and what they are for.
- Any allergies or drug intolerances you have.
- A brief description of your pain ie: sensitive to hold or cold? Short sharp pain or a lingering dull ache? Keeping you awake at night? When did you first notice it? Does it hurt to bite?
Nervous Patients
It's very common to be nervous visiting the dentist.
We are here to make your appointment as calm and comfortable as possible. Some ways we can do this include:
- Having a chat with the dentist away from the dental chair to help ease your mind, while the dentist gets to know you better and discuss your worries and dental history.
- Music? You can be the DJ during your appointment, music can help to calm you so you can choose what you like.
- Longer appointments. This may not sound like your cup of tea, but we can book you an extended first visit, which will allow you time to relax in our beautiful bush setting, get to know the caring staff and rest assured knowing that we aren't rushing your treatment.
